Iran's Navy Chief Is Dead. His Intelligence Chief Too.

Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed today (March 26) that the IDF eliminated IRGC Navy Commander Alireza Tangsiri in an airstrike on Bandar Abbas at approximately 3:00 a.m. local time. The IDF confirmed the strike also killed the head of the IRGC Navy intelligence division and the rest of the naval command leadership. Tangsiri was appointed by Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in August 2018 and oversaw all IRGC Navy operations in the Strait of Hormuz. He held direct operational responsibility for the mining and blockade of the waterway.

The IDF stated: "The Air Force, with precise guidance from Military and Naval Intelligence, struck in Bandar Abbas and killed Ali Reza Tangsiri, commander of the Revolutionary Guards Navy for the past eight years." Days before his elimination, Tangsiri publicly threatened that "oil facilities associated with America are now on par with American bases and will come under fire with full force." PM Netanyahu said Tangsiri "had a great deal of blood on his hands" and "led the closure of the Strait of Hormuz."

The IRGC issued a denial saying reports of Tangsiri's death "do not reflect the truth." The statement referenced "a powerful explosion in a residential building in Bandar Abbas" but did not include proof of life. Every major Israeli network confirmed the elimination. The Jerusalem Post reported a number of Tangsiri's top naval aides were killed in the same strike.

Eight Iranian Missile Salvos Hit Central Israel in One Day

Iran fired at least 8 ballistic missile salvos at central Israel today (March 26), some armed with cluster munition warheads. 11 people were injured across the attacks. No fatalities reported on the Israeli side.

The worst hit was the Arab area of Kfar Qasim, where a cluster munition struck a residential street. The blast wave flipped two cars in the air. MDA treated 5 people at the scene. A residential home had shattered walls, broken windows, and rubble across the street. In Tel Aviv, 3 people were lightly wounded by shrapnel and debris. Sirens sounded across central Israel, Jerusalem, and Judea and Samaria throughout the day.

The IDF's campaign-wide interception rate holds above 90%, but cluster munition submunitions deploy after the warhead breaks apart, making them harder to stop. In Abu Dhabi, 2 people were killed and 3 injured when debris from a missile interception fell on Suwaihan Street. The IDF Home Front Command cleared residents to leave shelters after the latest assessment.

Trump Demands Iran Deal as Pentagon Hits 10,000 Targets

Trump posted on Truth Social today (March 26) that Iranian negotiators are "begging" the U.S. to make a deal but are "afraid to say it because they figure they'll be killed by their own people." He called them "very different" and "strange." He warned: "They better get serious soon, before it is too late, because once that happens, there is NO TURNING BACK."

CENTCOM chief Admiral Brad Cooper confirmed the U.S. struck its 10,000th Iranian target under Operation Epic Fury. Cooper said "more than two-thirds of Iran's missile, drone, and naval production facilities and shipyards have been damaged or destroyed." Iranian missile and drone attacks have dropped 90% since the start of hostilities.

Axios reported today the Pentagon is developing military options for a "final blow" that could include seizing Kharg Island (Iran's main oil export hub), taking Larak Island in the Strait of Hormuz, ground operations to secure enriched uranium at nuclear sites, and blocking Iranian crude exports east of the strait. Trump has not made a decision.

Pakistan delivered the U.S.'s 15-point peace plan to Tehran, covering sanctions relief, nuclear rollback, missile restrictions, and reopening the Strait of Hormuz. Iran rejected it as "extremely maximalist and unreasonable." Trump separately blasted NATO: "NATO NATIONS HAVE DONE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO HELP WITH THE LUNATIC NATION, NOW MILITARILY DECIMATED, OF IRAN."

The U.S. and Israel are dismantling Iran's military command structure while Pakistan channels a 15-point deal. CENTCOM has hit 10,000+ targets. Two-thirds of Iran's production capacity is damaged or destroyed. The IRGC Navy commander who shut down the Strait of Hormuz is gone. Iran is still firing at Israel but at 90% reduced volume. Tehran rejected the deal on the table. Trump said there's no turning back.

NTV reported the Turkish tanker M/T Altura, carrying crude oil, was hit by a drone in the Black Sea 15 nautical miles from the Bosporus Strait. No attribution has been confirmed. The Bosporus connects the Black Sea to the Mediterranean and is one of the world's most critical shipping chokepoints.
