Netanyahu told the Conference of Presidents that his Oval Office meeting with President Trump focused primarily on Iran, Gaza, and Israel’s post war position. He framed Israel as stronger after 2 years of war and outlined firm conditions for any Iran deal.

Iran: Conditions For A Deal:
Netanyahu said Trump is “determined to exhaust the possibilities” of reaching an agreement, believing current U.S. force projection gives leverage and that “Iran must surely understand that they missed out last time.”
Netanyahu expressed skepticism: “Iran is reliable on one thing. They lie and they cheat.”
He said any deal must include:
1. All enriched uranium removed from Iran.
2. No enrichment capability at all, meaning dismantling equipment and infrastructure, not merely pausing activity.
3. Inclusion of ballistic missiles, including enforcement of the supposed 300 km cap, which he said Iran violated, citing the Rising Lion operation.
4. Dismantling Iran’s “axis of terror,” which he said remains active despite setbacks.
5. Strict verification, upgrading “trust but verify” to “distrust and always verify,” with real, substantive, effective inspections.
“These are the elements that we believe are important,” he said, adding he presented Israel’s position clearly.

Gaza: Disarm Hamas, Demilitarize Gaza
Netanyahu said Israel’s 3 goals after October 7 were: return all hostages, dismantle Hamas’s military capabilities, and dismantle its governing control.
He claimed all hostages were returned, including “the last hero, Rani Villi,” crediting U.S. support, Israeli forces, and Israel’s refusal “to cower.”
He linked the next phase to President Trump’s 20 point Gaza plan: Hamas must be disarmed first, then Gaza demilitarized.
Disarmament means removing all weapons. Netanyahu said Gaza has virtually no heavy weapons left, no artillery, no tanks. The primary weapon, he said, is the AK47, 60,000 of them, used in the October 7 massacre. Those, along with RPGs and rockets, must be removed.
Demilitarization requires finishing tunnel destruction and eliminating weapons labs and rearmament facilities. Israel has dismantled about 150 km of 500 km of tunnels and must complete the mission.
Netanyahu said Israel is giving the plan a chance, quoting Trump’s “easy way or hard way.” Even during ceasefires, he said, Israel responds to attacks, noting 13 terrorists were killed recently.
He added Israel is allowing the ISF and the President’s Board of Peace to attempt implementation peacefully, but stressed Gaza will never again threaten Israel.
“Tiny Israel” As A Strategic Power
Netanyahu argued Israel is emerging stronger economically, militarily, and technologically.
He cited The Economist ranking Israel among the 3 most vibrant economies despite war, pointing to a record stock market, strong shekel, low inflation, falling interest rates, and major investment inflows.
He credited disciplined economic management and Israel’s demonstrated high tech and deep tech capabilities during the war.
He referenced expanding defense talks with Germany and a growing alliance with India, noting Modi’s upcoming visit and Israel’s popularity among India’s 1.5 billion people.
On technology, he said Israel ranks number 2 globally in cyber investment after the U.S., despite having 10 million citizens. He pledged similar leadership in AI and quantum technologies.
He cited a recent U.S. Security Council memorandum calling Israel a “model ally,” reiterated Israel does not seek U.S. boots on the ground, and restated his goal to phase out the financial component of U.S. aid over roughly 10 years while deepening joint U.S. investment partnerships.
Anti Semitism: Fight Back
Netanyahu addressed rising anti Semitism in the U.S., Europe, and Australia, calling it historically cyclical. He argued Jews in the diaspora were once “prominent and weak,” which invited attacks. With Israel, he said, Jews are prominent but no longer weak. October 7 attackers sought “to do a Holocaust on us,” but Israel reversed the assault after day 1 despite heavy losses.
His message to Jewish communities was direct: “Do not cower… Fight back.” He argued respect follows strength and cited other minority groups that advanced by confronting discrimination.
“There’s going to be a media war. There’s a digital war… and we’re going to fight it together,” he said, adding the only way to defeat anti Semitism is to confront it directly.
He concluded that if this approach is sustained, the Jewish state and Jewish future will be secure, closing with thanks for continued support and his traditional sign off: “We’ll see you next year in Jerusalem.”
